When it comes to the NBA draft, the Los Angeles Lakers are keeping their options open.
General Manager Mitch Kupchak told the media after the Lakers' draft workouts Tuesday that the organization is considering a wide array of players to add to the team, depending on how many can come in for a workout.
"There is the conception that there's four players there. I think there might be more. ... At least four, hopefully six to eight," Kupchak explained when asked how many players he'll bring in for consideration at second overall.
That would mean players beyond the projected top four picks - Karl-Anthony Towns, Jahlil Okafor, D'Angelo Russell, and Emmanuel Mudiay - will be getting a close look.
The more the better for Kupchak.
"We will probably bring in as many as the representatives will allow us to bring in," he said.
"If a representative feels that we are not genuine and considering that player at No. 2, they probably wouldn't send him in. I'd like to bring in as many as possible."
