Kolb (knee) participated in practice Tuesday and coach Doug Marrone thinks Kolb will be able to play in Friday's preseason game against the Vikings, BuffaloBills.com reports. Said the coach: "I was happy today. Obviously I watched him very closely yesterday and again today. And I thought today he looked really good. So it's to a point now where we're going to get him ready to play."
Assuming he does play, Kolb needs a good showing Friday to keep in the race for the No. 1 quarterback job with EJ Manuel, one that seemingly has Manuel ahead as training camp has progressed.
