Grizzlies' injured Conley refused to come out of Wednesday's loss
Memphis Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley kept plugging through Wednesday's game despite suffering a right ankle sprain that momentarily forced him out.
That's not the only ailment he played with.
Conley was also dealing with a sore neck and back, but had zero intentions of resting for the remainder of the game after sustaining the ankle injury during the third quarter of a 95-92 loss to the Boston Celtics.
He was carried off the court and told by the medical staff to sit the rest of the contest, only to return for the fourth quarter.
"We were back here arguing for about five minutes about whether I should go out or not," Conley told reporters. "I said I might as well give it a try and see how it goes. If I can't move then I can't move and I'll come out."
Conley finished with 20 points on 9-of-12 shooting with a pair of 3-pointers in 33 minutes.
He'll sit Thursday's game against the Washington Wizards.
