He didn't. Instead, he missed badly and effectively ended the contest.
Hardaway, who scored a game-high 25 points, was disgusted with himself after missing the potential game-tying 3-pointer.
The Hornets won the ugly affair 76-71 on the second night of a back-to-back to snap the Knicks' season-high three-game winning streak. It wasn't pretty, but the Hornets, who were without point guard Kemba Walker, will take it after getting slaughtered by the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday.
New York fell to 8-37 and is mere percentage points better than the Minnesota Timberwolves for the worst record in the NBA.
