Rudy Gay returned from a brief absence from the Sacramento Kings' lineup on Saturday, checking in off the bench in the first quarter of the team's game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Gay, who suffered a sprained left knee capsule in Tuesday's loss to the Dallas Mavericks and sat out Friday's game against the Miami Heat, came off the bench for the first time since Feb. 1, 2013.
He had been listed as questionable for Saturday's game and wasn't on the Kings' bench when the game began.
Gay is enjoying a solid season for the Kings, averaging a career-high 20.4 points on a True Shooting Percentage of 54.7 to go with six rebounds, a career-high 4.1 assists, 1.3 steals and a career-high PER of 19.9.
