Jimmy Butler: (Thumb) Questionable For Season Opener
Butler has been diagnosed with a sprained left thumb, and will miss the rest of the preseason, the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson reports.
Analysis:
The Bulls will reevaluate the starting shooting guard prior to the start of the regular season, so he should be considered questionable in that sense. Butler won't practice this week, so hopefully the time off will allow him to heal up, and even if he misses the first couple games of the regular season, he should be back on the court in relatively short order. Kirk Hinrich would be his most likely replacement in the starting lineup if he had to miss time.
