The Minnesota Timberwolves aren't interested in having point guard J.J. Barea on their roster, according to Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune.

The Timberwolves have repeatedly tried to unload Barea to no avail. The inactivity is likely tied to his price, as the diminutive guard is owed $4.5 million next season.

Barea averaged 8.4 points and 3.8 assists last season, but shot just 38.7 percent from the field including 31.6 percent from deep. Barea figures to be the third option in Minnesota's pecking order at point guard, as the Timberwolves have better options in Ricky Rubio and Mo Williams at their disposal.
