Greg Oden will stand trial on Oct. 22, facing a Level 5 felony battery charge and two misdemeanor battery charges.
Oden was in court in Indianapolis on Wednesday and the judge entered a not-guilty plea for the former No. 1 overall draft pick. The judge also ruled that Oden is free to leave the state on bond but must remain on GPS monitoring.
The charges stem from an arrest last week after Oden allegedly punched his ex-girlfriend in the face, fracturing her nose and requiring stitches. Oden was calm, co-operative and apologetic at the time of his arrest in his mother's Indianapolis home.
