After impressing on a 10-day contract, the San Antonio Spurs have signed forward Damion James for the remainder of the season, per a team release.

James was originally signed on April 3 and appeared in three games for the Spurs, averaging one rebound in 3.3 minutes. Of course, the stats mean little - James is simply an extra body for insurance come playoff time.

In 85 career D-League games, the Texas product has averaged 16.1 points and 8.2 rebounds. This is his fourth year in the NBA, though he's never appeared in more than 25 games in a single season.
