Tim Duncan entered Monday's game against the Indiana Pacers needing eight points to pass Patrck Ewing for 19th on the NBA's all-time scoring list. He scored nine.
Duncan has 24,817 points in his career - all with the San Antonio Spurs. The 37-year-old's performance on Monday was less than impressive (3-for-10 from the field with six rebounds in 31 minutes), but Duncan did register a team-high three blocks and posterized Roy Hibbert with a two-handed dunk late in the third quarter:

The next player ahead of Duncan on the NBA's scoring list is Paul Pierce, who is still active with the Brooklyn Nets and has 24,941 points as of Monday.
