Report: Warner Bros set for Space Jam sequel starring LeBron James
Take this with a grain of salt, as similar reports have surfaced over the past few years and turned out to be false.
However, Deadline.com, a respected Hollywood news site, is reporting that Warner Bros is preparing a script for a Space Jam sequel that would star LeBron James. Charlie Ebersol, Willie Ebersol and Jon Berg is reportedly involved with the project as well.
LeBron James taking over the Michael Jordan role is all kinds of perfect, if it's true.
Here are some of the other live-action roles we would like to see (of course, they'll modernize the characters, but you get what we mean):
- Michael Jordan - LeBron James
- "Young" LeBron - Seventh Woods
- Charles Barkley - Glen Davis
- Patrick Ewing - Dwight Howard
- Shawn Bradley - Andre Drummond
- Larry Johnson - Giannis Antetokounmpo
- Mugsy Bogues - Isaiah Thomas
- Stan Podolak ("Newman" from Seinfeld) - Jonah Hill
- Bill Murray - Bill Murray
- Larry Bird (golfing pal) - Kobe Bryant
- And most importantly, no Kevin Hart involvement, whatsoever.
