Before the Knicks' game on Friday, Iman Shumpert told MSG Network's Tina Cervasio that he's been "pissed off" lately.
"Honestly, I'm just kind of pissed off, that's all," Shumpert said. "So you just play like that."
Surely the trade rumors surrounding him have something to do with the attitude, but he refused to specify a reason when asked what's making him angry.
"Everybody," Shumpert said. "Mad at the world."
Well, against the Magic on Friday, Shumpert certainly demonstrated some of that anger both during the game and after.
The 23-year-old helped the Knicks to a 121-83 slaughter over Orlando by dropping 10 points to go with four points and four assists. He also threw down this vicious jam in the third quarter that brought the crowd at Madison Square Garden to its feet:
And if you couldn't feel the rebellion in Shumpert during the game, the grill he rocked during the post-game scrum and the answers he gave to reporters should do the trick.
