Rookie AJ Dybantsa won't play in the Washington Wizards' season-opening matchup Wednesday against the Milwaukee Bucks, head coach Brian Keefe said Tuesday, according to The Athletic's David Aldridge.

The No. 1 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft is considered day-to-day after rolling his ankle in the Wizards' preseason finale this past Friday.

Dybantsa, 19, averaged 12.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 21.7 minutes over four preseason games.

He recorded 25.5 points and 6.8 boards over 35 contests during his one season with BYU before being drafted.
