The NBA warned San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama for violating media access rules following Tuesday's Game 5 loss, a source told ESPN's Shams Charania.

Wembanyama skipped his mandatory media obligations after the Spurs' 127-114 defeat by the Oklahoma City Thunder, leaving Paycom Center without speaking to reporters.

Wembanyama struggled as the Thunder took a 3-2 series lead in the Western Conference finals. He scored 20 points on 4-for-15 shooting and had just one rebound in the first half.

Spurs head coach Mitch Johnson said postgame that the team is "going to need to" get Wembanyama going in Thursday's Game 6.

The league has fined players for not speaking to reporters in the past, including Jimmy Butler and Dillon Brooks in 2023.
