Daniels, Amen Thompson highlight NBA All-Defensive teams
The NBA announced the 2024-25 All-Defensive teams Thursday.
Evan Mobley, the newly crowned Defensive Player of the Year, made the All-Defensive first team alongside Dyson Daniels, Lu Dort, Draymond Green, and Amen Thompson.

Mobley received 99 first-team votes, while Daniels got 91.
Green has now racked up nine All-Defensive selections over his career, tied with Chris Paul for the most by a current active player.
Daniels led the league in steals with 3.0 per game. He recorded 229 on the season, the most by a player in the 2000s since Allen Iverson's 225 in 2002-03. The Australian guard joins Dort and Thompson as first-timers on the All-Defensive team.

Dort's teammate Jalen Williams was named to the All-Defensive second team, joining former Defensive Player of the Year winners Rudy Gobert and Jaren Jackson Jr.
Gobert leads all players in All-Defensive nods. He earned seven first-team selections between 2017 and 2024. This is the four-time Defensive Player of the Year's first second-team appearance.
Williams, Toumani Camara, and Ivica Zubac received their first ever All-Defensive nods this season.
New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby was the first player to miss the second-team cut, receiving 49 total votes.
This is the second year that All-Defensive teams didn't have position requirements.
