Jamal Murray hasn't forgotten about the teams that passed on him in the NBA draft.

As Murray goes head to head with fellow 2016 draftee Kris Dunn in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs, the Denver Nuggets guard was asked if he's motivated by the fact that Dunn was selected before him.

"One hundred percent. One hundred percent," Murray said Tuesday following the Nuggets' Game 5 win over the Los Angeles Clippers. He added: "It goes for anybody, not just him. It's just a competitive spirit. ... I like the challenge and I like to give a challenge too."

Dunn was selected with the No. 5 pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves, while the Nuggets took Murray seventh overall. Dunn's Clippers teammate Ben Simmons, Brandon Ingram, Jaylen Brown, Dragan Bender, and Buddy Hield were also drafted ahead of Murray.

Murray scored 43 points in the Nuggets' Game 5 victory, which gave them a 3-2 series lead. They have an opportunity to eliminate the Clippers in L.A. on Thursday night.
