Clarkson done for season after foot procedure

Utah Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson will miss the rest of the regular season after undergoing a procedure to address plantar fasciitis in his foot, the team announced Thursday.

Clarkson averaged 16.2 points, 3.7 assists, and 3.2 rebounds this season. He was limited to 37 games due to foot injuries, his lowest number of appearances over 11 seasons in the NBA.

The 32-year-old signed a two-year, $28.3-million extension with the Jazz in 2023. He won Sixth Man of the Year in 2021 after his first full season with the club.

Clarkson holds career averages of 16 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.9 assists.

Utah has the worst record in the Association at 16-57. It faces the Houston Rockets on Thursday.
