Klay Thompson hasn't lost faith in the Dallas Mavericks amid their recent struggles.
The four-time NBA champion expressed optimism about the franchise's future following Monday night's 133-129 win over the San Antonio Spurs, saying he wants to help lead the Mavs back to "glory."
"We still have big goals, we still want to make a run," Thompson said, via Joey Mistretta of Clutch Points. "The injuries have been awful, but I still love our team. We have an amazing frontcourt. We miss those guys dearly, obviously, you can tell with the lack of size out there. They're probably the strong point of our team, but we're showing as much heart as we can. It's just a pleasure to go to battle with each and every person who suits up. That's all you can control, at the end of the day, is your attitude and effort.
"I still believe in this franchise. I'm here for two more seasons after this, so I'd love to help them return to glory that they were brought to in 2011."
The Mavs snapped a five-game losing streak with Monday's win despite having just eight players available. They currently sit 10th in the Western Conference at 33-33.
