Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis will likely miss multiple weeks with a left adductor strain, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania on Sunday.
Davis suffered the injury late in the third quarter of Saturday's 116-105 win over the Houston Rockets after falling awkwardly to the floor. He left the contest and did not return.
After the game, Davis told reporters that he felt tightness in his groin area but said it wasn't a serious issue.
The 10-time All-Star had missed the previous five contests with an abdominal injury.
Davis tallied an impressive 26 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists, and three blocks in just 31 minutes during his Dallas debut.
The Mavericks are riding a two-game winning streak and sit eighth in the West with a 28-25 record.
