The Golden State Warriors are looking for a second star to pair with Stephen Curry, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

The Warriors could also look within the organization for a blossoming star, according to Charania: Jonathan Kuminga is coming off a career-high 33 points and led the Warriors to a 99-93 victory over the Houston Rockets with Curry and Green sidelined.

Golden State attempted to acquire the Utah Jazz's All-Star forward Lauri Markkanen during the offseason but didn't make a good enough offer. The club also pursued six-time All-NBA forward Paul George in free agency, but he decided to take his talents to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Washington Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma and New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram could be potential trade targets for the Warriors as two aging stars on rebuilding teams.

Kuzma, 29, has been struggling to find his place on the last-place Wizards, who have lost 16 consecutive games. With a top-heavy 2025 draft class incoming, Washington is expected to steer into the tank and could use Kuzma as a trade chip to acquire more picks.

Ingram, meanwhile, is putting up 23.2 points per contest on 46.8% shooting on a struggling Pelicans squad, so New Orleans may look to ship out the former Duke Blue Devil before he becomes a free agent this offseason.

The 13-8 Warriors sit fifth in the Western Conference. They take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.
