NBA reviewing Rockets' Eason for trying to enter stands

The NBA is reviewing an incident involving Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason after he attempted to enter the stands following Tuesday's 120-111 defeat to the Sacramento Kings, a league spokesperson told The Athletic's Sam Amick.

Eason threw a towel and yelled obscenities at a heckling fan after walking through the tunnel near the visitors' locker room, according to Amick. The 23-year-old then reportedly tried to enter the stands and came close to the fan section before security held him back.

Eason recorded 16 points and 12 rebounds in 25 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's contest.

Refs ejected Ime Udoka in the fourth quarter and handed the Rockets head coach consecutive technical fouls for arguing a non-call after center Alperen Sengun drove to the rim. The Turkish center was also tossed from the game.

"Blatant missed calls right in front of you," Udoka said postgame. "They're calling ticky-tack moving screens and bullshit like that, and then you don't want to call the obvious ones right in front of you, so that was it. Alpie got fouled a few times on that drive and on the layup, and they don't want to call it. I told him, 'Get some f-----g glasses. Open your eyes.'"

Eason is averaging 11.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.1 steals in a reserve role this season. Houston drafted him with the 17th pick in 2021.

The Rockets rank second in the Western Conference with a 15-7 record.
