Steven Adams appeared in his first NBA regular-season game since January 2023 on Monday, taking the court in the Houston Rockets' 106-101 win over the San Antonio Spurs.
With 4:33 left in the first quarter of the Rockets' contest against the San Antonio Spurs, Adams checked in for center Alperen Sengun.

In 14 minutes of action, Adams scored six points on 3-of-3 shooting, along with three rebounds.
Adams was originally sidelined due to a PCL sprain during his time with the Memphis Grizzlies. He received a stem cell injection in April 2023 and was ruled out for the remainder of the 2022-23 season. He then underwent surgery in October 2023 and was ruled out for the 2023-24 campaign. The veteran center also battled a calf strain to begin the season.
The Rockets acquired Adams from the Grizzlies in February. The 31-year-old played in the preseason, averaging 3.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists over three contests.
The New Zealander holds career averages of 9.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and one block. He was selected 12th overall in the 2013 draft.
Houston improved to 2-2 on the season with the victory.
