Jazz, Mykhailiuk agree to 4-year, $15M deal
The Utah Jazz and sharpshooter Svi Mykhailiuk have agreed on a four-year, $15-million deal, his agent told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Ukrainian has spent six years in the NBA and played for seven organizations. He won an NBA title with the Boston Celtics last season, appearing in 41 games and averaging four points and 1.2 rebounds while knocking down 38.9% of his threes.
A former second-round selection out of Kansas, Mykhailiuk's most successful campaign was with the Detroit Pistons in 2019-2020, during which he averaged nine points and nailed over 40% of his triples.
The Jazz add another potential shotmaker next to star forward Lauri Markkanen, who recently inked a monster five-year, $238-million extension with Utah.
In their third season under head coach Will Hardy, the Jazz will attempt to return to the playoffs for the first time since trading Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the summer of 2022. Last year, the team went 31-51 and finished 12th in the Western Conference.
