Report: Edwards to be 'major star' of Netflix NBA docuseries
Anthony Edwards will reportedly take center stage in Netflix's upcoming NBA documentary series.
The Minnesota Timberwolves guard is expected to be a "major star" of the series, which is slated to release in the fall, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania. It will also feature the likes of LeBron James, Jayson Tatum, Jimmy Butler, and Domantas Sabonis.
The show will follow the same model as the Netflix docuseries "Quarterback," which offered viewers a behind-the-scenes look at NFL quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota during the 2022-23 season.
Edwards averaged a career-high 25.9 points per game in the 2023-24 campaign and helped the Timberwolves to their first Western Conference finals appearance since 2004. The 22-year-old also earned All-NBA second-team honors for the first time in his career and was selected to play in the NBA All-Star Game for the second consecutive season.
