Potential top-10 pick Nikola Topic has torn ACL

Serbian draft prospect Nikola Topic suffered a partially torn ACL, his agent told ESPN's Jonathan Givony on Wednesday.

The point guard is projected as a potential top-10 pick in this month's NBA draft.

Topic initially injured his knee in January before aggravating the issue in an April playoff game with his squad, Red Star Belgrade.

The 18-year-old will now head to the U.S. to be evaluated by NBA team doctors. His medical report will be sent to all franchises picking in the draft's top 15.

Seen as a potential starter with excellent passing vision and overall feel in a jumbo 6-foot-7 frame, Topic was once ranked as high as No. 4 on ESPN's big board before his injury lowered his stock.
