T-Wolves' Reid takes home Sixth Man of the Year

Reid won the distinction over Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk and Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis.

The 10-point difference between the top vote-getters is the smallest margin of victory under the Sixth Man Award's current format, which began in the 2002-03 season.
Reid averaged 13.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 81 games this season. He also shot a career-high from three, knocking down 2.1 per game on 41% shooting from beyond the arc.
The 24-year-old scored a career-high 34 points in an overtime loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers in March.
Reid has played five seasons with the Timberwolves after going undrafted in 2019. He signed a three-year, $42-million extension with Minnesota this past season.
Reid is the first Minnesota player to ever win the award.
The Timberwolves are currently playing the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the playoffs. Reid is averaging 8.5 points in 18 minutes across two contests.
