Atlanta Hawks All-Star Trae Young returned to the lineup in Wednesday's 115-114 loss to the Charlotte Hornets.

He recorded 14 points on 5-of-5 shooting with 11 assists and four rebounds in 21 minutes.

Young had been sidelined since Feb. 25 after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ligament in his finger.

Dejounte Murray missed the contest due to a quad contusion, while forward De'Andre Hunter rested.

The Hawks hold the final play-in spot in the Eastern Conference and are just one game back of the ninth-placed Chicago Bulls. Both teams have three games remaining. The higher seed between the two will get home-court advantage in the opening round of the play-in tournament.

Young is having another stellar season, averaging 26.4 points and 10.8 assists in 51 games.

Atlanta has relied heavily on Murray since Young went down. Murray averaged 24.8 points and 9.2 assists in the 23 contests without his backcourt partner.
