LeBron out Thursday, Wood set to miss multiple weeks
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has been ruled out of Thursday's game against the Golden State Warriors due to an ankle injury, the team announced.
The veteran forward suffered the injury before the All-Star Game this past weekend and told reporters that he was receiving treatment, according to Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times.
During the festivities, James suited up as a part of the Western Conference team. He sat out the second half of the game and tallied eight points and three assists in 14 first-half minutes.
The 20-time All-Star missed the Lakers' last game before the break, a 16-point victory against the Utah Jazz.
L.A. is 4-3 in the seven games James has missed this season.
Forward Christian Wood will be out for approximately two weeks as he deals with swelling in his left knee, the Lakers announced, per ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
Wood is averaging 6.9 points and 5.1 rebounds in his first season with Los Angeles.
The Lakers are ninth in the Western Conference with a 30-26 record.
