Report: Knicks promote Rosas to senior VP of basketball operations
The Knicks promoted Gersson Rosas to senior vice president of basketball operations, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Rosas had served as a team consultant with the franchise for the past year.
The 45-year-old was previously employed by the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, and Minnesota Timberwolves. The Timberwolves fired Rosas from his position as president of basketball operations in September 2021 due to the team's lack of success and a reportedly dysfunctional front-office dynamic, as well as a consensual intimate relationship with a member of the organization.
In 2020, the Knicks hired former agent Leon Rose to serve as president of the franchise.
The Knicks finished with a 47-35 record last season and made the Eastern Conference semifinals for the first time since the 2012-13 campaign.
