Houston Rockets forward Cam Whitmore was named 2023 Summer League MVP on Monday.

Whitmore averaged 20.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, three steals, and 2.3 assists in five contests. The former Villanova wing fell to the No. 20 pick in June's draft.

The 19-year-old was also selected for the All-Summer League first team, joining Utah Jazz guard Keyonte George, Cleveland Cavaliers guard Sam Merrill, Denver Nuggets forward Hunter Tyson, and Miami Heat center Orlando Robinson.

Whitmore's teammate, Jabari Smith Jr., made the second team. Smith was joined by Cavaliers forward Emoni Bates, Brooklyn Nets wing Jalen Wilson, Chicago Bulls guard Javon Freeman-Liberty, Los Angeles Lakers guard Max Christie, and Los Angeles Clippers guard Xavier Moon. Christie and Moon finished in a tie, allowing for an extra second-team player.

The Rockets will take on the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Summer League championship later Monday.
