Free-agent guard Eric Gordon agreed to a two-year deal with the Phoenix Suns, his agents told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Clippers waived Gordon on Wednesday after acquiring him at the February trade deadline. The move saved Los Angeles $110 million in luxury tax money, according to ESPN's Bobby Marks.

Gordon narrowed his choices to Phoenix, the Golden State Warriors, and a return to the Houston Rockets before ultimately choosing the Suns, sources told The Athletic's Kelly Iko.

The 15-year veteran is a big acquisition for the Suns, who are extremely active in the early days of free agency.

Phoenix already re-signed Damion Lee and Josh Okogie. The team also added depth by signing forwards Keita Bates-Diop and Yuta Watanabe, as well as centers Chimezie Metu and Drew Eubanks.

The Suns enter next season as one of the title favorites thanks to their star-studded trio of Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Bradley Beal.

Gordon averaged 12.4 points last season for the Rockets and Clippers. The 34-year-old shot 37.1% from beyond the arc in 2022-23 and is 20th all-time in career 3-pointers.
