The Indiana Pacers are nearing a trade to send wing Chris Duarte to the Sacramento Kings for draft compensation, sources told Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The picks in the trade have not been reported.

Duarte averaged 13.1 points and 4.1 rebounds as a rookie in the 2021-22 campaign. He was named to the All-Rookie second team.

The 26-year-old struggled with ankle injuries throughout last season, playing in just 46 games, and his production dropped across the board.

Duarte adds wing depth to a Kings team coming off its first playoff appearance since 2006. Sacramento agreed to a three-year, $54-million deal to bring back starting forward Harrison Barnes on Thursday.

The Pacers selected Duarte 13th overall in the 2021 draft.
