Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis avoided concussion protocol and is probable for Friday's crucial Game 6 against the Golden State Warriors, head coach Darvin Ham said Thursday, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
Davis exited Wednesday's Game 5 loss after being struck in the face by Warriors big man Kevon Looney in the fourth quarter and went to the locker room in a wheelchair.

Davis would have needed to pass multiple steps to return to play if he entered concussion protocol, putting his availability for the potential series-clinching tilt in doubt.
The eight-time All-Star is having a monster postseason, averaging 21.5 points, along with a league-best 13.5 rebounds and 3.4 blocks per game.
Davis' interior presence is a big reason for the Lakers' 3-2 lead over the undersized Warriors. He's recorded at least three combined steals and blocks in all but one contest in the series.
