Memphis Grizzlies center Steven Adams will likely miss the postseason due to a right knee injury, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
A PCL sprain has sidelined Adams since late January, and he received a stem cell injection a month ago.
The Grizzlies are already missing backup center Brandon Clarke, who suffered a torn Achilles on March 3 and is done for the season.
Memphis is signing two-way rookie big man Kenneth Lofton Jr. to a four-year, $7-million standard contract, Lofton's agent told Wojnarowski. He'll add depth while Adams and Clarke remain absent.
Lofton was named G League Rookie of the Year after averaging 20.2 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 3.9 assists for the Memphis Hustle - the Grizzlies' G League affiliate - in the regular season. He's appeared in 23 games for the NBA club this campaign.
Adams, a 10-year NBA veteran, played 42 contests this season for the Grizzlies. He averaged 8.6 points and a career-high 11.5 rebounds.
