The Toronto Raptors are adding 11-year veteran wing Will Barton, the team announced Tuesday.

In a corresponding move, the Raptors waived forward Juancho Hernangomez.

Barton played 40 games with the Washington Wizards this season before being bought out. He averaged 7.7 points in 19.6 minutes per game, both his lowest marks since the 2014-15 season.

The 32-year-old has become a consistent marksman from beyond the arc over the course of his career. After drilling just 30.3% of his threes in his first four seasons, he's hit on 36.9% of them since.

Barton will add much-needed shooting and backcourt depth to a Raptors team that ranks fourth-last in 3-point percentage at 33.5%.

Meanwhile, Hernangomez was in the midst of his first season in Toronto, but was averaging a career-low 2.9 points per game on 25.4% shooting from three. He suited up in 42 games, including 10 starts.

The 27-year-old Spaniard gained notoriety for appearing in the 2022 film Hustle alongside film star Adam Sandler.
