Report: Celtics' Brown suffers facial fracture, could miss All-Star Game
Boston Celtics wing Jaylen Brown could be sidelined through the All-Star break after suffering a facial fracture in Wednesday's win against the Philadelphia 76ers, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Brown will seek further examination from a specialist Thursday to determine the length of his absence.
The recently named All-Star reserve had just four points in 17 minutes before exiting. Boston held on for a 106-99 victory over its division rival.
If he misses the All-Star Game, Brown would join Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Zion Williamson among the absentees for the Feb. 19 event.
The 26-year-old Brown is putting up career bests for the Eastern Conference-leading Celtics, averaging 27 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per contest.
