Report: Westbrook, Ham had heated exchange during loss to Thunder

Los Angeles Lakers guard Russell Westbrook and head coach Darvin Ham engaged in a heated verbal exchange in the locker room at halftime of Tuesday's 133-130 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Ham expressed frustration with Westbrook for lingering on the floor after getting subbed out of the game in the second quarter, Wojnarowski adds.

Westbrook took an unusually long amount of time to leave the court when LeBron James and Troy Brown entered the game for him and Patrick Beverley with 59 seconds remaining in the first half.

The former MVP and the first-year head coach eventually turned their attention back to the game, and they shook hands before leaving the arena, according to Wojnarowski.

Westbrook finished the game with 27 points on 10-of-19 shooting with eight assists. He scored a season-high 14 in the fourth quarter to help the Lakers make a late comeback attempt, though they ultimately fell short.

Los Angeles fell to 25-30 on the season with the loss.
