The Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings are interested in trading for Philadelphia 76ers wing Matisse Thybulle, sources told The Philadelphia Inquirer's Keith Pompey.

Golden State likes Thybulle as a defensive stopper, while Sacramento head coach Mike Brown is a fan of the 25-year-old forward, Pompey reports.

The 76ers want to move some salary to drop below the league's $150.3-million threshold. Thybulle is in the final season of his rookie contract, earning $4.3 million. Other reported trade candidates include Furkan Korkmaz and Jaden Springer, who make more than the $1.1 million Philadelphia needs to shed.

Thybulle, a defensive-minded wing, was almost shipped out during June's draft to the Portland Trail Blazers in a three-team trade that would've brought Houston Rockets guard Eric Gordon to Philadelphia, Pompey adds.

Thybulle is averaging career lows across the board, recording 2.7 points, 1.2 rebounds, and just under a steal in 12.1 minutes per game this season.

The trade deadline is Feb. 9.
