Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon is willing to reverse his decision not to participate in the Slam Dunk contest again, but under one condition.

Gordon told Rohan Nadkarni of Sports Illustrated he'll return to the contest if he secures a spot in the All-Star Game for the first time in his career.

"If I'm in the All-Star Game, I'll do the dunk contest," Gordon said.

Gordon has competed in the dunk contest twice before - in 2016 when he lost to Zach LaVine and in 2020 when he finished second again to Derrick Jones Jr. He vowed not to participate in any future dunk contests following his 2020 appearance, saying he wanted to focus on making the playoffs.

The 27-year-old is in the midst of one of the best seasons of his career, averaging 16.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game while shooting 58.8% from the floor.

This year's All-Star Game takes place Feb. 19 in Salt Lake City.
