Luka Doncic offered a reassuring message to any Dallas Mavericks fans worried about him not staying with the team long term.

The Mavs star affirmed his commitment to the organization in an interview with WFAA's Joe Trahan, pointing out that he still has several years left on the super-max contract extension he signed in August 2021.

"I don't think they (should) worry about it right now," Doncic said. "I got, what, five years left here? So, I don't think they should be worried about it."

Doncic also spoke about his desire to bring a championship to Dallas.

"Everybody wants to win the championship. I want to win the championship here, so it's our goal," he said.

The Mavs sit eighth in the Western Conference standings at 9-7. Doncic is making a strong case for the MVP award this season, averaging a league-high 33.5 points per game, along with 9.1 rebounds and 8.1 assists.
