Grizzlies' Bane out at least 2-3 weeks with toe sprain
Memphis Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane suffered a Grade 2 right toe sprain during Friday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves and will be re-evaluated in two-to-three weeks, the team announced.
The third-year guard missed Sunday's 102-92 loss to the Washington Wizards due to the injury.
Bane is averaging career-high averages of 24.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 4.8 assists in 12 games so far this season.
The Grizzlies, which have a record of 9-5, still haven't played a game with their full starting lineup from last season. Power forward Jaren Jackson Jr. is reportedly expected to return Tuesday against the New Orleans Pelicans after missing the team's first 14 games.
Memphis acquired Bane on draft night in 2020 after the Boston Celtics selected him 30th overall.
