The Slovenian guard was originally traded to the Toronto Raptors last offseason in the Kyle Lowry deal. Dragic suited up in five games for the Raptors before stepping away from the team due to personal reasons in November.
Toronto shipped him to the San Antonio Spurs at the trade deadline for Thaddeus Young, Drew Eubanks, and a 2022 second-round pick. The Spurs ultimately bought him out, clearing his way to sign with Brooklyn.
