Shaedon Sharpe is ready to make his mark on the NBA.

The former Kentucky guard, who didn't play during his lone season with the Wildcats, laid out his lofty expectations Friday.

"I see myself being one of the greatest players to ever play the game of basketball," Sharpe said, according to James Boyd of the Indianapolis Star. "Just playing at the highest level, just really getting after it and competing. One of my goals coming in as a rookie is just win Rookie of the Year. … And then also (become an) All-Star and, later on, Hall of Fame."

It's unclear why Sharpe never played for Kentucky, but the 19-year-old Canadian said he has no regrets.

"Everything happens for a reason, so I really don't regret (not) playing," Sharpe said. "I'm working out for NBA teams now, so I guess I did something right."

Sharpe is projected to be a lottery pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. He said he's already worked out for several teams, including the Orlando Magic, Oklahoma City Thunder, Detroit Pistons, Portland Trail Blazers, and Charlotte Hornets.
