Report: Snyder could end 8-year coaching tenure with Jazz
Utah Jazz head coach Quin Snyder could leave the organization as his future remains unclear after numerous conversations with ownership and management, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Tim MacMahon.
Talks between Snyder and the Jazz have been characterized as being in "good faith." The team has reportedly offered to extend the 55-year-old's current contract, which runs through 2023-24, or would welcome him back on his current deal.
Conversations involving the two sides are reportedly expected to continue. Talks have focused on philosophical issues, as well as how the parties can work together to get Utah to championship contention, per Wojnarowski and MacMahon.
Snyder reportedly hasn't entertained coaching opportunities outside the organization to this point.
Snyder owns a 372-264 record in his eight seasons coaching the Jazz. He's led Utah to a Western Conference-best six consecutive trips to the playoffs, though the team hasn't advanced past the second round during his tenure.
