The Philadelphia 76ers plan to disclose that star big man Joel Embiid is dealing with a right thumb injury - what will officially be listed as a sprain - but the big man will be available for Saturday's Game 4 against the Toronto Raptors, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The sprain is feared to potentially be as severe as a torn ligament, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Embiid practiced Friday despite feeling pain, ESPN's Ramona Shelburne and Wojnarowski report.

The five-time All-Star had his hand and wrist wrapped in a soft brace at practice, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer's Gina Mizell.

The possibility of a future MRI remains on the table to assess the severity of the injury.

Embiid is averaging 27.7 points and 13 rebounds in three games against the Raptors. The 76ers are up 3-0 with a chance to close out the series Saturday after Embiid hit a fadeaway 3-pointer Wednesday to win Game 3 in overtime.
