The Los Angeles Lakers signed forward Stanley Johnson to a two-year deal, including a team option for the 2022-23 season, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Johnson was a standout throughout his two 10-day contracts with the club and will now reportedly join L.A. full time after his latest temporary deal ends Wednesday.

Johnson averaged just 6.4 points over his 14 games with the Lakers but impressed them largely due to his defense and energy.

The seven-year pro was slotted into the starting lineup Tuesday in Anthony Davis' return from injury against the Brooklyn Nets and was a plus-10 in 29 minutes.
