Chicago Bulls guard Coby White tested positive for the coronavirus, coach Billy Donovan announced Wednesday, according to the Chicago Tribune's Julia Poe.
The Bulls will now resume daily testing for COVID-19.
White, 21, has had a tough start to the year. Recovery from offseason surgery on his left shoulder delayed his season debut, and since rejoining the lineup Nov. 15, his production has been roughly half of his 2020-21 output.
In 17.6 minutes per game, the third-year pro has averaged 6.1 points (on a career-worst effective field-goal rate of 40.5%), 2.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists. He's scored in double figures twice in nine games after averaging 15.1 points per game in Year 2.
