Jazz-Kings delayed for more than 10 minutes after fan vomits on court
If you're looking for a sign from the basketball gods that the Sacramento Kings are close to turning their season around ... look away.
The team's game versus the visiting Utah Jazz experienced a lengthy stoppage in the middle of the fourth quarter after a fan sitting courtside at the Golden 1 Center vomited onto the court adjacent to the Jazz's bench, according to numerous eye-witness accounts.
Dude just - well - puked courtside. Wowwww

A drunk fan has puked on the court. He was escorted out and it was a hot mess.

I believe that a Kings fan has barfed by the Jazz bench. The Jazz have left that side of the court, the fan has been escorted out of the seats, and crews are cleaning up the mess now.

I have not seen this before.
sacrament🤮

Like...a lot. That was utterly disgusting, and something I've never seen at an NBA game - especially courtside. Game is delayed, and the Kings immediately display the alcohol policy on the big screen. https://t.co/xQQgieSHGk

Kings mascot Slamson has just joined the effort to clean the courtside slop. I don't envy these folks

I mean, it was bound to happen eventually. Have you seen the Kings for the past 15 years? https://t.co/miJOQRzuMv

This is not what they mean when they talk about leaving it all out there

Quite the lengthy delay as this is cleaned up. Jazz still haven't approached the bench area. Every fan in that front row has been moved, and their items are being taken away too. Hassan Whiteside is covering his nose as Eric Paschall cracks up laughing.

This is wild. Still delayed. We've got a clean-up crew with multiple mops, Slamson helping out. If this was my beat writing days, the game story writes itself considering how the Kings have played lately (down 96-82 to Utah at the moment)... https://t.co/uFXlIihW2P

We are still in a vomit delay. A dance off is taking place. The loudest Golden 1 Center has been in a while.
— James Ham (@James_HamNBA) November 21, 2021
After play resumed, the Jazz prevailed with a 123-105 win - a fitting reward for fans who spent more than 10 minutes watching an impromptu dance-off while Kings mascot Samson attempted to corral a pool of vomit.
I'm kind of shocked this is the first time a Kings fan puked on the court, having to watch that team play over the years

These jokes just write themselves, don't they?
In any case, Jazz center Rudy Gobert took a gentler, more philosophical approach to the event postgame.
"Life is full of surprises. … I hope he was ok," Gobert said, according to the Salt Lake Tribune's Eric Walden. "I actually made eye contact with him.
"He was smiling. He was smiling and throwing up at the same time.”
