Pippen: 'I was nothing more than a prop' in 'The Last Dance'

Scottie Pippen has issues with "The Last Dance."

After making it known last year that he wasn't pleased with the docuseries, Pippen continues to air out his grievances with it - and former Chicago Bulls teammate Michael Jordan - in his new memoir, "Unguarded."

GQ shared an excerpt from the upcoming book, in which Pippen criticized his episode of "The Last Dance" and accused Jordan of being condescending.

"Even in the second episode, which focused for a while on my difficult upbringing and unlikely path to the NBA, the narrative returned to MJ and his determination to win," Pippen wrote. "I was nothing more than a prop. His 'best teammate of all time,' he called me. He couldn't have been more condescending if he tried."

Pippen went on to point out that while Jordan received millions for his role in the documentary, his Bulls teammates "didn't earn a dime." Pippen also said he spoke to several former teammates who, like him, felt disrespected by the documentary.

"Each episode was the same: Michael on a pedestal, his teammates secondary, smaller, the message no different from when he referred to us back then as his 'supporting cast,'" he wrote. "From one season to the next, we received little or no credit whenever we won but the bulk of the criticism when we lost. Michael could shoot 6-for-24 from the field, commit five turnovers, and he was still, in the minds of the adoring press and public, the Errorless Jordan."
