The Atlanta Hawks signed guard Kevin Huerter to a four-year, $65-million rookie contract extension, his agents told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Monday.

Huerter has been a consistent scoring presence for the Hawks since being drafted 19th overall in 2018. He's averaged at least 9.7 points in each of his three seasons and never shot below 36% from 3-point range.

The Maryland product has also developed into a strong secondary playmaker alongside Trae Young, finishing second on the team last year with 3.5 assists per game.

Atlanta has now dished out $408 million in salary this offseason, just between the extensions of Huerter, Young, and Clint Capela and retaining free agent John Collins.
